New Covenant Schools is an educational community founded in 1991 in the classical, Christian tradition. Unique in its approach among schools in Central Virginia, New Covenant serves about 450 students in grades PK-12 with the finest classical, Christian program of study in the region. The school is fully accredited with the VAIS, and is affiliated with the Reformed Episcopal Church, serving students from more than 60 churches and a variety of denominations. Our campus is located on 50 acres at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Lynchburg, Virginia.

Coming Events
School of Rhetoric to DC, Oct 5th – Oct 6th
The entire School of Rhetoric will travel to Washington D. C. on Thursday, October 5th. All students should arrive before 7am and the buses will depart at 7am. Each grade will visit different
Blessing of the Animals, Friday, Oct 6th
Students from kindergarten through 8th grade are invited to bring their household pets for a blessing from Rev’d Davidson Morse and the Rev’d John Heaton. The scheduled time slot for grammar school students
Grammar School Poetry Recital, Friday- Oct 13th
The poetry recital for the grammar school will be held in the Moomaw Center at 8:15am. Parents are welcome to attend.

The Middle School Presents: Wilde Tales
The Middle School presented Wilde Tales: The Fairy Tales of Oscar Wilde on Friday and Saturday night.
Colonial Day
The second-grade classes hosted their annual Colonial Day. Students participated in a number of time period activities. They had a wonderful time enjoying a tea party, colonial style dancing, sewing, and much more.
New Covenant Athletics
Some lessons are learned in the classroom. Some are learned on the field or on the court. New Covenant Schools maintains an athletic program that physically challenges students, developing character through competitive sport.
New Covenant Fine & Performing Arts
At New Covenant the arts are central – not optional.
