ihistory-Eaton

i History Guest

Jennifer Eaton joined students in the middle school on Friday, January 25, 2019 for an installment in the iHistory series.  It was New Year’s Eve, 1989 and Mrs. Eaton was stationed in West Berlin, as an army officer.  That night they heard chipping, yes! Chipping!  And the rest was history.  Make that iHistory.  She was there the night the wall came down and Germans danced on top of it!

iHistory is a New Covenant initiative that brings guests from the school and broader community to our students to share their first hand experiences in historical events that textbooks might not share quite as well.  Our iHistory past guests have included Neil Bonnert who was part of the USS Pueblo incident in the 1960’s, Dr. Eric Sorenson, a veteran corpsman of the Vietnam War. Future guests include Bob Gillette of Lynchburg whose connection to the Holocaust will fascinate everyone!
