Approach
The personal computer is undoubtedly one of the most extraordinary tools ever invented.  It has revolutionized our world in the same way television did in the 1950's. Yet, the computer is just a tool, and New Covenant has been careful to avoid emphasizing computer skills over against the basics of reading, writing, arithmetic and penmanship. Students begin computer instruction in the seventh grade with keyboarding and word processing.

The Computer Lab
The Computer Lab contains twenty two computer terminals and a teaching station with LED projection capability for computer instruction. Students use Windows XP computers, and receive instruction in basic keyboard, MSWord, EXCEL, with some exposure to basic webdesign.

In ninth grade and above, students are expected to type all major papers using MLA format.
