Believing that the fear of the Lord is beginning of knowledge, all students at New Covenant attend chapel services one day each week. The Marie Macdonald Chapel provides an intimate and beautiful setting for worship. Services are based on the Book of Common Prayer.

New Covenant stands in the Anglican tradition but our students represent more than sixty churches including Baptist, Presbyterian, Methodist, Lutheran, Roman Catholic, Weslyan, and other traditions. Our greatest desire is to promote sincere faith, true discipleship, and to foster an awareness of the great heritage that we have in the historic Christian faith. Chapel services vary from traditional morning prayer to more contemporary worship expressions, often led by student musicians and readers.

The chapel is appointed with a contemporary rose window, and the flags displayed in the nave are those that have flown over Virginia from 1607, the founding of Jamestown, to the present day. The altar frontal displays the Jerusalem Cross which represents the witness of the four Evangelists to the four corners of the earth.

New Covenant Schools is affiliated with The Reformed Episcopal Church, a traditional, liturgical and con-servative denomination, and is the home of New Covenant Church, a parish that meets in the chapel each Sunday morning with Holy Communion celebrated at 11:00 a.m.
