Study Abroad

New Covenant Schools offers several options for studying abroad.  The following courses are completed in the fall of the year and culminate in foreign travel during Spring Break.

Our British Heritage includes course work with a week-long education excursion to Rome and its environs.  Selected instructors chaperone the trip which is open to students in grades 9-12. Priority is given to upperclassmen.  The cost is about $2,500 with a deposit of $1,000 due October 1, with the balance paid by March 1.  Credits and course work: 0.5 credit with course work, reading and papers.

Marine Biology consists of a classroom & web-based marine science course, PADI open-water diving certification, and an educational dive-trip to Cozumel, Mexico.   Selected instructors chaperone the trip which is open to students in grades 9-12. Priority is given to upperclassmen.  The cost is about $2,500 with a deposit of $1,000 due October 1, with the balance paid by March 1.  Credits and Course Work: 0.5 credit with course work, testing and reading.

Mission Trip to the Cuirim House is an opportunity for service in the slums of Nogales Mexico.  The trip involves some fund raising during the year and planning meetings.  The trip is led by  Chaplain Morse and parent volunteers.  Students in Grades 9-12 are eligible, with priority given to upperclassmen Cost: $1,500, deposit of $800 due October 1, balance paid by March 1.  Credits and Course Work: 0 credit, no course work.
