Campus Life

Located on 50 acres in the heart of Lynchburg, New Covenant offers a safe learning environment.  Situated in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, it also offers an unparalleled campus in the heart of beautiful Central Virginia.

Classes at New Covenant are limited to 18 students per section, and with about 470 students, everyone gets to know everyone, from teachers to schoolmates of all ages. Programs such as Reading Buddies promote interaction across the grades.

Our campus is a comfortable size, and easy for even the youngest students to navigate. Our buildings surround three grassy courtyards, where classes sometimes meet in pleasant weather.

New Covenant students not only enjoy classroom instruction but can take advantage of missions opportunities in Mexico, foreign study in Rome, marine biology excursions to Cozumel, and routine trips to the nation’s capitol, Washington, DC. Our student-athletes compete at the Division II level in soccer, volleyball, basketball and lacrosse. All students who desire to participate in sports find this an attainable goal.

Co-curricular opportunities also abound in music, drama, yearbook, student government and spiritual leadership.  Our school also holds three formal dances in the School of Rhetoric each year.
